Joakeem Gaston

Joakeem Gaston is a Boston-born musician and photographer on a creative mission to capture and inspire the warmth we all embrace. Through growing up in Dorchester, Joakeem became infatuated with learning about people and different cultures. That love for learning started with music and then went to photography. The foundation for loving the arts was fostered at his local Boys and Girls Club. There, he was able to learn how to play the drums, piano, and bass. He began to write songs for himself. Joakeem spent much time alone as an only child and grew comfortable learning more about himself. That interest continued as his investment in photography grew. What was once a tiny hobby has flourished into a creative career where he's been able to learn more about diverse sets of people than he could have dreamt of! Joakeem aims to keep a sense of child-like joy at the forefront of his passions regardless of any obstacles that may come along.
